Spring trends 2018
We've trawled the Shows and media, now here's the summary of the most wearable trends. Cherry pick from these new trends to update your look and step into Spring.
Brights were everywhere on the catwalks, both singular and clashing. Try a single piece and pair with a neutral, use tonal shades in the same colour family, or choose an accessory in a bold colour. Most effective for those with bright eye colours or 'high contrast' colouring such as dark hair and pale skin. Otherwise, pare it down with a neutral.
Yes, pastels are also de rigueur! Think ice cream shades and Spring bouquets. The most seen - LAVENDER! Try a new Spring dress or a pastel scarf / bag for multiple use. Most flattering on 'low contrast colourings' such as lighter hair, skin and eyes. Otherwise, pep it up with a bright tone in the same colour family.
Look out for sequins - key detail of the season. Also, feathers and fringing are going nowhere.
Monochrome polka dots. Checks for Spring and 40's and 50's florals are also in stores. Match the size of the print to your overall frame size for a flattering effect.
This trend is still with us! This season it's all about trainers, trouser suits, pencil skirts and big shoulders. Be selective with this trend unless you want the 'full on' effect, less can be more!
